Lemme just say, I freaking LOVE when the groom contacts me! Ian reached out to me to photograph their wedding at one of my fave venues, Huntington Bay Club! I’m going to let him tell their love story because it’s so cute, they’re so meant to be together AND they also met on bumble…haaaay–
“I met Nicole on Bumble while she was randomly home visiting her parents in Cerritos but she lived in Seattle. We tried the long distance thing for 6 months and it was tough but we battled through it and she made the big plunge and decided to move back home to be with me :). I flew up to Seattle to help her move down to Fullerton and we did a road trip down thebentire pacific coast! We learned more about each other that trip than we could have ever known. You learn the good, bad and the ugly when you road trip that much and we didn’t kill each other so we knew we would be able to make life work together! Fast forward to our engagement and I surprised her by converting our backyard into a pop up restaurant while she was at work. I decorated the whole place and added lighting and rented a heat lamp because it was cold! I also messaged our favorite vegan chef to see if she could do a private chef type dinner for us and she said yes!! Nicole hates big scenes in public so I wanted to propose at home, and got our favorite chef to cook our favorite food in our backyard. It was absolutely amazing! So now it’s time to do the damn thing and we want amazing photos!
I’m a photographer so I was immediately drawn to your style and talent when Nicole showed me your work!”
Ok first of all, isn’t that one of the cutest and most thoughtful proposals you’ve ever heard? I am obsessed with Ian and Nicole and to me, they are the perfect definition of opposites attract and they couldn’t be more perfect for each other. Ian is outgoing and goofy, Nicole is so sweet and reserved and they seriously are the best couple ever!
Oh and did you catch that last part that Ian is a photographer? Gosh, nothing is as humbling as a another photographer trusting me to take their photos! Ok, enough out of me… onto the photos-
When Nicole saw this photo, she said “There has never been a more accurate picture to depict our relationship”
This was probably one of the silliest and most fun piggyback rides I’ve ever witnessed, no?
